I didn't even touch a bass till the Summer of 1984, before then my only experience with music was singing. Once I took the plunge, I made up for lost time, playing literally till my fingers split and bled. I was jamming with friends inside of a month. In the summer of 1986 I found my way into my first band. It was the most fun I had ever had. Making music and making people happy all at the same time...... WOW!! My next band was a 3 piece rockabilly group (yes I played a little Standup bass). It was a lot of fun and I got to play a lot of really good shows opening for groups like Otis Day (Very Kewl Bass Player), Dwight Yocum (never got to meet his bass player), and the Fabulous Thunderbirds (bass player wouldn't even talk to me). That was great till our guitarist left for California... Oh well.
Then I started my own band... a wedding band (hehe). When I got married, I put down my axe and didn't play for 10 years but the bug caught up with me and now I've been back for 5. I met Dave and Dennis through atlantamusician.com in July of 2003 and it's been crazy fun ever since!
